PROTEST IN WASHINGTON DC
Dear freedom lovers, Togolese parties & associations in the US, human
rights watchdogs, friends of Togo and Africa,
The togolese opposition in the US in collaboration with CAR-USA, after
careful observation of the political situation prevailing as of now in
our Togo has come to the following conclusions:
-
We believe there is a serious plot being carried out by the Togolese government
in order to sabotage and kill what remains of democracy in our country
-
We believe that the wrong people [Lucien Djossou Messan, Me. Yawovi Agboyibo
etc.] are being wrongfully tried and put in jail so that our people would
be reduced to silence
-
We believe that our Justice needs serious reforms because it lacks independence
from the military government
-
We believe that current Prime Minister Agbeyome Kodjo should resign because
his hands are soaked with the blood of Fréau Jardin victims, Kégbé
Koffi Mathieu, and more and he needs to explain his huge wealth to our
people
THEREFORE WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US IN A PROTEST AGAINST THE ASSASSINS OF
OUR DEMOCRACY AND TO LET YOUR DISAPPOINTMENT KNOWN AND ASK FOR THE IMMEDIATE
AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF OUR COURAGEOUS FREEDOM FIGHTERS.
