MY INDIGNATION AND DISAPPOINTMENT
To M. L. KING CENTR
With all due respect for the late Dr M. L. KIng, I would like to express
my indignation and disappointment to you for your complicity
with the worst dictator of our contemporary world. In fact, it was with
great consternation that the suffering togolese people
learned that your center sent observers in Togo for presidential
election where everybody knew democratic regulations would
never be applied. For that particular reason, the U.N., the U.S.
government, the European Union and many other credible
organizations turned down the invitation from the last dictator of this
world. I must be very frank with you, all the people in Togo
are still shocked about the part your center played to legitimize the
frauds, violence and crimes committed by Eyadema's regime
for 36 years. We don't want believe that he bribed you, because
corruption and bribery is the weapon he uses for aliens groups
and for his people, he always uses force and sword. May be president
Chirac of France can tell you more about that. He can for
instance tell you how much money he has received from the dictator for
his criminal support. I believe it's never too late to
achieve good deeds, you can still speak out and tell the international
community what you really saw during the election on june
first, not what the regime asked you to say. Hurry up, your credibility is
at stake. I am asking you this because I know the late Dr
King would never ever back a dictator up, someone who has no respect for
human rights, someone who hates justice. Didn't
King say: "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere?". If
you don't know, let me tell you that we have been under
Eyadema's brutality, injustice, masochism... but to list a few, for 36
years now, don't you think it's enough? My last appeal to you
is that, you should never accept any invitation from a dictator, a
criminal, who has no regards for his people. Because the holy
scriptures teach us "if you can't do good, don't do bad", it's simple. I
am ready to discuss any comments with you.
Respectfully,
Greensboro, USA, June 9, 2003
Moussa
