TOGO MARCH OF PROTEST IN OTTAWA

The Canadian Togolese Community (CTC)
&
The Togolese Diaspora for Democracy and Development (DIASTODE)

invite AFRICANS, CANADIANS AND ALL FRIENDS OF TOGO to take part in a LARGE Peaceful MARCH of protest (in Ottawa) against the coup d'etat and the military dictatorship in Togo and in Africa.

The goal of this demonstration, on one hand, is to show our solidarity with our brothers, sisters, and parents living in Togo and, on the other hand, to express our categorical refusal of this violation of the Togolese Constitution, involving the seizure of power by Faure GNASSINGBE son of Éyadéma, with the support of a small group of senior officers of the Togolese Armed Forces.

Together, let’s save Togo and Africa.

Date: Saturday, February 19th, 2005 – 11: 00 a.m.

Meeting Place:
In front of the Supreme Court of Canada, corner of Kent & Wellington Streets, Ottawa

Route: Bank-Laurier-Elgin-Rideau-Sussex (20 min. stop in front of the Embassy of France) then return to the Hill of the Parliament
