Nothing has really changed in togo even after Faure stepped down from the power.
All they did is to use smartly the demand of the international community against it.For whoever knows this regime very well would conclude that their first intent is to escape the sanctions because they are used to be praised and they cannot dare to be isolated Therefore something needs to be done in order to trap the international community and they succeed quite well.
With the presidential election planned within two months, it goes without saying that
the international community would back them up with the idea that it is according to the constitution.But truly speaking, what is this quick election hidding? The regime is quite aware of the fact that the oppositions parties would not adventure to take part in it and therefore they will win it. Why would the opposition boycott the election? The truth is that, organizing an election under these conditions is to give a full support to the regime RPT which doesn't change and whose members have the strong will to die in power to avoid to be judged for their wrongdoing. For my part, I fully adhere to the proposal made by the six opoosition parties or by Kofi Yamgnane..Nothing will really change in Togo after this election..Time will show if I am right or not.I am especially appealing to Alpha Omar Konare to help us solve once for all the togolese crisis.
