Lome is now a part of history. Of course there was a declaration about African union. "Africa unite". But only 25 countries agreed to compose this new/old idea. Anyways, Eyadema is a winner, because he organised his millenium summit in spite that Togo is in a poor situation. Well, lot fo talks, speechs but the reality is that some said no to Kadaffi proposition. Anyway for application more than half agreements is need. I think as for me that, african people need free election, freedom of expression, of movement and association.Without it nothing is possible. USA: United States of Africa is called to remplace OAU a death-borned organisation. If you have an idea on Ethiopia, you will have a clear idea about this organisation. Realism says "africans need union". But the union needs time also. Good schools, free information, war against wars, war against AIDs and poverty, that is the most important preoccupations. solve them and you'll have key for integration. Understand who have ears.
