The situation in Togo is going from bad to worse. The crucial issue of the refugees is still hanging and the authorities seem to take advantage of the time .Up to now, nothing really in the sense of reconciliation is being observed. All that matters for the government is the power, that is to say, keep it at all cost and by all means possible. The future of the young generations is desperate and nothing seems to clear it up .Are the politicians going to sacrify all the youth to the detriment of selfish aspirations? Any system in politics that does not seek first the well being of the population that has actually entrusted the power to rule is doomed to failure. And that is exactly what I am foreseeing for the current regime and government in Togo. Mentality must change .Self –interest should not govern the world. It is time for the African nations and particularly the Togolese one to shift their goal and focus all priorities on the populations that should normally come first in all dealings. I am here appealing to the international community to practically get involved from head to toe into the Togolese crisis so that either party may feel secure. Any facilitator should take into account the facts and not what the current regime wants to make them believe. It is only at this price that peace and reconciliation should be expected.
