The Togolese government has allocated the Independent National Election Commission (CENI) 578 million francs CFA (771 000 US dollars) to help finance the revision of voter registers as well as sensitisation campaigns.

A release Saturday said the disbursement brings to 913 million FCFA (12 million dollars) the total amount of money so far allocated CENI ahead of general elections billed for 10-24 March 2002.
